Get Epic Portraits With Just An Apollo Orbs And Three Speed Lights

Have you ever wondered how to take a picture with an amazing background and with all the details you want on your subject? If you feel kind of lost, I don’t blame you. I was in that same situation before.

The trick to capturing an epic portrait with all the details that you are looking for is to underexposed your shot and use a speed light (or three) to highlight your subject.

For instance, I took an overexposed photo where I was able to see some details of my subject but the background was blown out.

Since I wanted to capture the details of the background, I underexposed my photo. The only problem was I couldn’t see any details on my subject.

The solution to your problem is to use some speed lights to highlight your subject. I decided to use an Apollo Orb with a triple bracket holding three speed lights inside. Here is the final result:
